This is my first reading , prequel to book 1 of the Hot in Chicago Rookie series. I can already say that I’ll soon become addicted! When these two firefighters meet Diner Dude aka Roman and Cherry Pie aka Abby , an awakening of intense lust occurs while they’re both sharing the last piece of cherry pie in the dinner. They decide to meet up again for more pie without divulging their real identities or professions to each other. However, Abby has just graduated as a firefighter and on her way to start her new job and meeting with her new lieutenant. Surprised is not the right word for her intense reaction, when she comes face to face with Diner Dude, her new boss. There won’t be enough fire extinguishers in the house to put out their burning 🔥 flames ! A definite read!
