Over the Backyard Fence is an account of a manssearch for his past among the relics of someoneelses life. In the early 1990s Edwin Billick is lostin his present situation. For him, nothing seemsto connect. He appears to himself caught in anever ending treadmill of sameness.
His days are simply pass through, misty shadows of the same people,places, and conversations. Always the same outcomes confronthim. His job is dull and made worse by the same uninteresting butnecessary people.

On the verge of micro insanity, he suddenly decides to return backto his childhood place of birth. The suddenness of his decision takeshim and his coworker by surprise.

Once home, he fi nds more than what he sought and less than whatdrove him on this return journey to his past.

Transfi xed by his menacing backyard fence, he relives again the hatedsameness, but this time the pain of the sensation is sharedbut notby him alone.
