Oz Series 9-14

The Scarecrow of Oz (Book 9) follows Trot and Cap’n Bill as they are swept into Oz and aid the Scarecrow in restoring the rightful king of Jinxland. Themes of loyalty and courage shine as they confront an evil magician and a cruel ruler.

Rinkitink in Oz (Book 10) centers on Prince Inga of Pingaree, who uses three magical pearls to rescue his enslaved parents. Joined by the jovial King Rinkitink and the talking goat Bilbil, Inga’s adventure eventually leads to Oz for help against the Nome King.

In The Lost Princess of Oz (Book 11), Princess Ozma mysteriously disappears along with Glinda’s magic book. Dorothy, the Wizard, and friends embark on a wide-ranging search, discovering new lands and ultimately confronting the powerful magician Ugu the Shoemaker.

The Tin Woodman of Oz (Book 12) tells of Nick Chopper’s quest to find his lost love, Nimmie Amee. The journey raises questions about identity as he meets another version of himself—his former human body, now known as Ku-Klip’s creation.

In The Magic of Oz (Book 13), young Kiki Aru uses forbidden transformation magic to help the Nome King threaten Oz, while the Wizard works to undo the chaos.

Glinda of Oz (Book 14) follows Dorothy and Ozma as they try to stop a magical war between two isolated tribes. When diplomacy fails, Glinda intervenes with powerful yet compassionate magic.

Together, these books expand Oz’s geography, introduce memorable characters, and emphasize Baum’s themes of friendship, peace, and imagination.
