Publisher Description
Parenthetical is poetry, an experiment, wherein you are invited to include or exclude one of the parenthetical words or phrases to alter the meaning of the line. Example: May you find if you seek, and (but) may I be rescued (first). Poems are presented as close as possible to the original process, in which I wrote with sentence fragments, a few intentional misspellings, used elision, hoping that these devices will convey more meaning to each poem. If I could read my poetry to you, I would. Will you stand and perform my poetry Stomp, whisper or holler where possible. In fact, please consider all of this an affective experience, as if you hear these works in my conversational tone of voice; as if to you I am complaining, "When you run into the sun I lose you."
