Publisher Description
Single dad and veteran defenseman Matt LaRue lives for his kids and hockey. He's had one failed marriage and doesn't have any interest in going through that hell again. As conservative as they come, he can't comprehend his unexplainable attraction to a free-spirited female who changes hair color more often than his boys create new excuses not to do their homework.
Violet Strider is fleeing her haunted past. She has a new start, new identity, and is hiding a big secret. Matt and Vi are a classic case of opposites attract, but neither expects the attraction to extend beyond a few hot trysts, especially Vi. Only her heart isn't listening, and her head is following her heart down a path of no return.
As Vi grows closer to Matt and his boys, she fears her secret could rip them apart and cause irreparable damage. Relationships are built on trust, and Vi's house of cards is about to take a tumble and destroy their fragile bond.
Can Vi confront her past and finally put it behind her, while earning Matt's forgiveness?

Really good
Jami Davenport has a way with adding real life drama to the ever popular & much loved game of hockey. The characters in her stories are all strong both men & women & bring a depth to the storyline that just increases the need to read until finished. Matt & Vi are another great couple in her hockey series. Matt’s need for the perfect wife & mother to replace his cheating ex has him looking everywhere but at the mystery woman, purple hair & tattooed Vi. They can’t stand each other but the chemistry between Matt & Vi is uncontainable & has them acting on it as often as they can. As they grow closer Vi’s guilt for not revealing her secrets to Matt grows, as does the feeling that things have changed & are going to change again. Matt stumbling on to her job, has her deciding a change is needed but just when they think it’s over Matt’s past charges with a hit from Vi’s past. Definitely recommend.

Well written book , helps to look at the other side of the storey and that not everyone is guilty of what they are accused of and don’t judge a book by its cover ..
