Intrigue abounds when a knight of church and crown is faced with the stark realization that the Pagan woman he has only ever admired from afar may need more than just sword and shield to save her from the hangman's noose. Sir Donnavon's mettle, as well as his troth and faith, will be put to the test as he is forced to choose between his steadfast vows, or to cling to a new one: taking a Pagan bride to save her life. In a place where his sword will do naught to save the lady Verity, it might be more than a clever sway of her hips that can bring a knight to verily his knee, and perhaps to walk at her side.
