Bernard Namano works with UN-Habitat where he has conducted capacity building needs assessment (CBNA) exercises and used the collected data to draft CBNA reports for the Africa Urban Agenda (AUA). He also drafted a key discussion paper titled, ''Sustainable Urban Development in Africa'' that was used by Africa''s heads of states in discussing the role of sustainable urban development in the realization of Africa''s Agenda 2063. This dialogue was held on 24 September 2015 at UNHQ in NY. Namano has two years of progressive work experience in Kenya''s fast growing geothermal energy sector. Namano has been conducting research and publishes his work online since mid-2011. In this regard, Namano has over twenty (20) professional publications on issues that range from project monitoring, evaluation, social justice, equity, engineering, management, conflict resolution, sustainable urban development, capacity building, among others subject areas. Namano holds an MA in Project Planning and Management (MAPPM) from the University of Nairobi. His MAPPM research project was titled, ''Factors Influencing Public Participation in Urban Planning Projects: A Case of Nairobi City'' He also holds a BSc degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering (Second Upper) from Egerton University. He is both a self-driven and a committed individual, confident and discreet in personality, consistent in progression and self-development, enthusiastic, able to achieve objectives when working under strict deadlines or without pressure.
