“Kelly Jamieson is my go-to author for hockey romance.”—Jami Davenport
Chase: The last thing I’d ever want to do is let my team down. After overcoming my bad-boy reputation, I was dominating on the ice. But things aren’t going so well this season, and even my parents think I’m partying again. Now I’m really worried about my career. The only bright spot in my life is the Twitter flirtation I’ve struck up with pop princess Jordyn Banks. Turns out she’s a huge hockey fan—and she’s willing to wager a date on her favorite team. . . .
Jordyn: Even though I’m an L.A. fan now, I’ve always had a soft spot for the Aces, since I grew up in Chicago. Then I lose a bet to Chase Hartman, and suddenly I’m up close and personal with a pro athlete who’s anything but soft. Not only is Chase the hottest guy I’ve ever met, he’s secretly super sweet. As if I had time for a relationship . . . yeah, right. But when I suddenly have nothing but time on my hands, he’s the only one who understands. Now, with both of our careers at stake, Chase is tempting me to put my heart on the line too.

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Jamieson's skimpy sixth Aces Hockey contemporary (after Slap Shot) focuses on veteran player Chase Hartman, who's rehabbing both his party-boy image and a wrist injury that is badly affecting his play. During his downtime, he strikes up a Twitter flirtation with pop star Jordyn Banks, betting a date on the outcome of a rival's game. Despite the challenges of lining up their schedules between Chicago and Los Angeles, Chase and Jordyn manage to develop a relationship out of the spotlight. When they both face career-ending surgeries, their differing coping strategies test their relationship to its breaking point. Secondary characters are little more than cameos, with previous Aces characters serving as shorthand for hockey content and celebrity name-dropping doing the same for Hollywood glamour. New readers may be disappointed by the lack of setting development beyond Chase and Jordyn, but the tight focus on the couple allows for emotional revelations that somewhat make up for the lack of depth elsewhere.

A sweet down-to-earth romance with steam!
Chase couldn't believe that Jordyn, a big time pop star, started following him on social media and is now flirting with him in tweets during a hockey game. Jordyn is a big hockey fan and because she grew up in Chicago, is a Aces fan. But Chase has been having trouble with scoring ever since he hurt his wrist at the beginning of the season. Jordyn had to have surgery on her vocal cords and has to recuperate for 6 month ... so she decides to do it in Chicago, and her and Chase begin to date. Neither one will admit it's a relationship because they have such different careers ... how could it ever work between them?
I loved the fact that Chase was not portrayed as a womanizer ... that was a real nice change. I also loved the fact that Jordyn had her own stardom and she wasn't this poor girl seeking out the rich hockey player. And the fact that they did have arguments ... just like any relationship in real life. This is just a sweet, down-to-earth romance with steam! A great addition to the series.

Great addition to the series
Another great story from Kelly Jamieson. I can’t get enough of this series & this book has just made the series that much more enjoyable. Chase & Jordyn are great characters alone & together. They have a strength that is recurring in this series. The song bird & the hockey player, two very different lifestyles but with one big thing in common.....hockey. We see the pain & agony of injury for both of them & the strength that it takes them to get past their injuries & heal, but also the strength that they unknowingly give to each other. This book as per usual for Kelly Jamieson is packed with heat & sensuality that just keeps you hanging on & wanting more. This is a great addition to the series & I definitely recommend it. I received this book from Net Galley & Loveswept for an honest review.
