A Child

Close your eyes
Clear your mind
Think of nothing
Feel the air around you
Feel the warmth
Feel a touch on your skin
Hear a whisper in your ear
You are born

Close your eyes
Clear your mind
Think of nothing
Go to a place you feel safe
Feel the warmth of being safe
Feel the happiness of being safe
Hear the whisper, you are safe
Your mothers embrace

Close your eyes
Clear your mind
Think of nothing
Go to a place you do not know
Feel the heat of not knowing
Feel the helplessness of no knowing
Hear the whisper, you are lost
Your first day at school

Close you eyes

Feel the joy of being all

You are a teenager
