Dr. Caroline Glyn is an authority on malignant cells. Carving up hairy creatures in the hunt for cancer-causing genes is a daily routine. As she leaves her daughter Mary at kindergarten, she meets her new friend Krupskaya and her father, an old Russian warhorse from the cold war. The girls could be identical twins.
