Being a vampire isn't all it's cracked up to be. Am I really supposed to just wait tables and sling beer to punk kids for the rest of eternity? I don't think so. Considering it wasn't my idea to end up immortal in the first place, this is definitely not the spoopy life I had planned for myself. Feeling more than a little left out, Lacey is determined to find her own path, and maybe even sort out her own place in the world. If that means leaving New York for a little while? So be it.

The only problem? Finding a new mentor isn't like swiping left, and sometimes, the price of admission is too high.
