Publisher Description
You can have the whole world, if I can have Italy.
When winemaker Tabitha Hamilton discovers her husband Royal has been cheating on her, she does what any sane woman would do: leaves him, runs off to Italy, and has a one-night stand with a sexy stranger named Giovanni.
Okay, she does what any sane woman would want to do. And it's just what she needs.
Unfortunately, Tabitha's got a life to return to: a winery she co-owns with Royal, a sister who relies on the winery for support, and an international wine festival competition to win—or maybe to lose, since it turns out her biggest competitor is her ex-husband.
And when the competition reveals long-held secrets about Royal's underhanded business conduct, Tabitha has to decide whether to protect her family's legacy and reputation, throw them away… or take off again.
Running away never looked—or felt—so good. But Tabitha's more than just a winemaker. She's a woman who knows what matters. And there just might be a way she can have it all.
Customer Reviews
Very good
This is a first time read of author Julie Strauss & I enjoyed this book & learned a few things as a new wine enthusiast. The storyline was intriguing, with the deceit of a husband & business partner & the chemistry between Tabitha & Giovanni. I enjoyed the wit & sarcasm of Tabitha & how her mind worked in such a different way & I loved her sister Gabrielle who seemed to be her rock, her biggest cheerleader & the light gently shining for her in the direction she should head. Little Micah was adorable & Nicoletta & Alessia were so sweet. The character of Giovanni was supremely hot, in the sexy smouldering Italian way, their chemistry was sweet & sexy & solid. I laughed out loud many times at the descriptions Tabitha had for the wines & I definitely loved the alley scenes with the bouncer & the brewery visit. In all this book was more than what I expected when I started reading it, with its angsty drama, humour & sex appeal. I would definitely recommend this book. I voluntarily reviewed this book from the author.
Tabitha is the kind of wine expert I want to know
Tabitha is the kind of wine expert I want to know. She understands that there’s more to enjoying a glass than simply the price tag on the bottle. I can’t say I enjoyed watching her marriage implode, but I was glad to see her escape the situation. I loved the sparks between her and Giovanni. The moments with them and their friends and families were pure magic to witness. There are some pee-my-pants-laughing scenes from this book that I will cherish for a long time to come.
I received a complimentary copy of this book.
