This year’s Rally Argentina produced a dramatic, atypical scenario in the hills and mountains that surround Cordoba and Villa Carlos Paz, some 700 km northwest of the country’s capital, Buenos Aires. In one of the most electrifying WRC finales in memory, Hyundai has claimed a stunning victory with Thierry Neuville and Nicolas Gilsoul. The Belgian driver edged out longtime leader Elfyn Evans by just 0.7 sec in a pulsating final speed test when the Welshman clipped a bridge, ending his dreams of a maiden victory. Only two rounds have been decided by a smaller margin in the WRC’s 45-year history.
