Ratcheting Down the Melancholic Afterbeat

Self-centered, socially awkward and far too clever for his own good, Jasper has learned precious few of the basic rules of life. With a dead-end job, a Comparative Scandinavian Drama Studies degree and an aging, obviously unrequited crush on his soon-to-be roommate, you'd think his mind would be on self-improvement. Instead, he's found a new distraction: Annette - the lively and lovely bookstore girl who manages to stay just beyond his grasp. Thus begins his heartbreakingly funny, hopelessly myopic quest.
