Readings From The Heart

Sue Clancy created artist books and fine art in an effort to cheer people up, herself included, as the world shut down in response to the 2020 global novel coronavirus pandemic. She worked out ways to adapt to the “at home” life and maintain mental health via her creations. In her belief that the best response to adversity is to go on and live well, Clancy began to focus on new realities via her artwork and to share in hopes of lifting spirits and helping other people to go on and live well. Or at least to take a moment to smile.



This catalog collects some of Clancy’s most recent artist books and fine art – drawing from 3 fine art exhibits of artwork and 5 artist books – collected under the title “Readings From The Heart” in order to tell the story of her artistic adaptation to life, and living well, during a pandemic.
