Just Heartbreaking!
This book had me hooked from the first chapter. Kingston is not your typical hero, but I loved him just the same. All he wanted was for his family to accept him as he was and believe that he could contribute to the family business. Kingston's scars are on the inside while Gabriella's scars are on the outside. She can't remember what happened to her that fateful day when she ended up with scars on her face. When people stare at her, she comes up with the wildest stories as to how she got them. These stories had me laughing out loud because they were just so outrageous. I loved how she put Kingston's family in their place when she met them ... I was laughing so hard there were tears running down my face.
But believe me, this book is definitely not all laughter because this book also had me crying tears of sadness. Kingston and Gabriella were such an unlikely pair ... but they are perfect for each other. The chemistry between them is so hot that my iPad almost started burning! Then about 2/3 of the way in, the book takes a really big turn and I had to pick my jaw up off the floor. I can normally guess when there is going to be a plot twist ... but I did not see this one coming. You'll know what I mean when you get to this part ... just hang on to your hat for the wild ride.
This is a exciting addition to the series and I can't wait to see which North brother's story is next. All I know is that the ride will be GREAT!
