Rebuilding

Gary was exiled from a good job in the city to a miserable job in the dessert. However, it was either a miserable job or no job at all.
The guy who exiled Gary also stole Gary's wife and his house.
Gary uses the year in the desert to plan his return to the city. A key item in his plans is that any number of people have been badly treated in the city and there are a lot of people, seeking revenge. Those who seek revenge have bits and pieces of data.
Gary gathers the bits and pieces of data into a DVD.
At the end of a year, Gary carefully resigns from his desert job, so that he can return if he has to. He then returns to the city and contacts Doreen, one of the few people there who might be able to help him.
Doreen is wary, but agrees to at least view Gary's DVD.
The DVD contains some very hot videos and some interesting contract information.
Could it be Gary's key to a job in the city?
