Rachel McKinney has relocated to upstate New York at the urging of her good friend, Bobbi Ragetti. She decided to buy a condo which was inexpensive mainly because the last person who lived there had been murdered in that very condo. Rachel is not bothered by that until her condo is broken in to. With the help of police officer, Ben Everett, friend Bobbi and brother, Jeff, Rachel spends the rest of the book investigating who the murder victim was and who murdered her.
