It's a pretty standard plot whereby a kidnapping leads to questions being raised about the true identity of a character. in the end, nothing much really happened so eh. Obviously in this situation a person wouldn't start naming emotions without first understanding the situation and might not name emotions at all because she just met this single mother. As I started to read this novel, which I had loaded onto my Kindle some weeks earlier, I was thinking "Why in the heck did I get this? I HATE romance novels!" And it surely seemed like a modern romance novel, replete with a red-haired heroine (Why are the heroines always red-headed or have "burnished curls"?
