Very Powerful

I've been trying to raise my game presenting to senior execs and customers for some time. I've read a lot of books, and taken courses, and I will admit they have definitely had a positive impact. I actually came across this title while reading a review in Forbes. I'll follow a link if I believe it's on topic. Thank god I followed my intuition on this one.

Being a bit of a sceptic, I read the article, followed the link, then did my own research on Nancy's approach and credentials. Both blew me away. I almost bought the paperback version until I saw a note on her site that stated she had published one of the first business books using the Author platform for iBooks. A family member bought the paper version, which is great, but I love the interactivity of this iBook.

I couldn't stop reading the book, so finished it in 3 days, even with a ton of note taking. I finished reading the book the afternoon before I was to host an executive breakfast on information security. Although I didn't have time to re-create my presentation for the next morning, I stayed up all night creating a sparkline for my executive breakfast and delivered it in a story\discussion format instead, as I was eager to see the potential of this approach. After only have practiced it for a few hours, the results were incredible. By introducing the storyline, contrast, alternating between what is and what could be and ending with the new bliss...many attendees were compelled to request follow-up after the breakfast concluded.

I am excited about actually spending some extended time to re-create a proper set of new presentations instead of my fact filled decks...and I expect it will not only raise my game, but also the level of our business.
