Post-blast investigation is Pam Robinson’s forte, and she works closely with other ATF and FBI agents to identify and analyze explosive events. When not in the field, her regular workdays consist of reviewing incident reports and preparing depositions for use in prosecution of criminal acts involving explosives, tasks that at times become onerous. But when the call for NRT goes out, she must drop everything and respond to the deployment order immediately.
In the course of doing her job, she must fend off a would-be suitor. Away from the job, she confronts a potential rapist. At home, she faces the melancholy of spending the holiday season alone.
Clues from a cell phone lead to a showdown at a house in rural New York. Her NRT partner is wounded by a charging gunman. For Pam, it is a case of kill or be killed, but her action has consequences.
