On the verge of losing everything she's worked so hard for, and desperate to keep her shop alive, she hires a consultant specializing in the resuscitation of failing local businesses—giving him complete and utter control. Samuel Mathiues is a fixer, he's who you call when best laid plans run off the rails.  As hardworking and dedicated as he is handsome and charming, Sam overwhelms Ashlyn just as much as the changes being made to her store. He nurtures her quirks, while opening her up to possibilities and ambitions she never dared to hope for.

But Sam challenges Ash in ways that terrify her, forcing her to re-evaluate who she really is, what she really wants, and questioning how hard she's willing to work for it all. As their attraction deepens, and work on her shop draws to a close, Ashlyn starts to fear Sam's inevitable exit.  Can she keep HUSH alive this time? Will old habits—both personal and professional—creep back up on her?  And the most terrifying of all: which does she want more—her shop to thrive, or Sam?
