Retribution

It has been two years since Hokura chose exile over execution and separated from the compound. After months of heartache and forcing herself to accept reality, she settles into a new life with Dorian living in her beloved cabin.

But the peace doesn’t last long when Cyrus appears at their door with an urgent plea, Hokura learns that Meridiana and those of the compound have fallen ill to a mysterious virus. There is only one person who may be able to stop it: the father of science.

Desperate to save those she loves, Hokura pleads with Dorian to venture back and save those of the city. Cyrus mentions it may be his mother’s DNA that holds the cure. Little do they know that this has all been a wildly orchestrated plan that has spiraled out of control.

Being inside the walls brings back too many feelings as Hokura’s world starts to shatter in heartbreak, as she comes to a crossroads she’s not ready to face, her husband, whom she left behind, and whether she can ever call the compound home again.
