Revisiting the Horla

In nineteenth-century Paris, a class conscious and well-to-do man about town takes lodgings near the banks of the Seine in the home of a comely widow.

And finds himself falling prey to his new and warped landlady as he succumbs to her growing mental and physical control of him.

A control that will not only leave him baffled as to its origins but see him lose his masculinity at her feet and commit murder at her behest as he becomes nothing more than than her servant.

In all ways!

"Revisiting the Horla Revisited" is Sandrine Bessancort's revised and extended 2026 homage to the horror fiction of Guy de Maupassant.
