Ride ’em, Vampire

Folks forget, vampires have criminals, too, and they hate seeing them on CNN. So when a rogue goes postal, they call Marshal Caleb Ride to clean up the mess—by any means necessary.


And his latest case is a poser. Persons unknown have exsanguinated a Houston rodeo clown, drained him dry, and Caleb has to investigate. Turns out the clown was an ex-military sniper with his sights set on Joshua Starfinger: country music superstar, rodeo headliner, and closet vamp. And though the assassin is dead, the danger remains. Someone has stolen his sniper rifle and taken on his mission.


Due to the case’s high profile, Caleb’s boss saddles him with a new partner, the mysterious and alluring human agent Selene Sanders. She’s supposed to keep Caleb in check and curb his propensity for collateral damage. But when the clues dry up and Caleb goes undercover as a rodeo bull rider, mayhem is only a short ride away.
