Manu is constantly in love with the wrong person. He runs around a twenty-first century America looking in all the wrong places. An immigrant in a strange land, he goes daydreaming on airplanes and buses, aimless and lost. Looking for work in all the wrong places, Manu dreams the American dream. Is he the enemy? he wonders, running in the long shadow of the violent birth of this Global era.

Set in New York, and DC, as well as Chicago, Houston, and Paris, Manu's quest for significance in his new home explores the vitality and perseverance of a new world, which slowly growing, could blossom into a new American century.
