Scott was educated in Edinburgh and went on to study law, although he had a passion for literature from a young age. He began his writing career as a poet, publishing collections such as "The Lay of the Last Minstrel" and "Marmion." However, it was his novels that brought him the most success and fame.

Scott's novels were set against historical backdrops, often featuring heroic characters and romantic themes. Synopsis:
