Oof! So much angst and tension. I love it!
Oof! So much angst and tension. I love it! This story was “enemies to lovers” with all the sparks and drama I expect from that description; proving, once again, that the opposite of love isn’t hate. Fleur and Drake have had a contentious relationship for as long as they’ve known each other. A lot of it can be laid at the feet of misunderstanding one another’s motives. But, it’s still meant a lot of pain and heartache between the two of them. It was fascinating to watch as these two finally cleared the air and allowed the feelings they’d been running from to come to the surface. This isn’t quite a fully fledged Happy Ever After, but it is a very sweet Happy For Now that leaves me on tenterhooks waiting to see what will become of their grandmother’s land.
