Publisher Description
Rogers, Clint. 2008. Where Rivers Meet: A Tibetan Refugee Community's Struggle to Survive in the High Mountains of Nepal, Kathmandu: Mandala Book Point. 387 pages with 32 color photographs, 2 maps, bibliography, glossary, and appendix of trade prices. Price US$ 25.01. ISBN 978-99946-55-09-0. Printed in Nepal. Books on Tibetan refugees have been published in considerable number, especially in Europe, America, and India. Although Nepal is a host country for an estimated twenty percent of Tibetan refugees, very little information on Nepal's Tibetan refugee population is disseminated in a book form. Some examples of studies on Tibetan refugees in Nepal include works by Claes Corlin (1975), Ugen Gombo (1985), Ram Bahadur Chhettri (1990), and Basanta P. Rijal (2008), but all these are Ph.D. dissertations. Despite such lagging of publication in full length, there are a few articles published sporadically in some journals and papers.
