All kinds of angsty drama
A little bit romantic suspense, a little bit fake relationship, a little bit spicy, and all kinds of angsty drama. My heart went out to Rudd immediately. He’s a little like a feral animal, lashing out at everyone to keep them away, to protect himself. I just wanted to hug the stuffing out of him and promise that everything would be okay. My reaction to Hailey wasn’t a lot different, though I didn’t just want to hug her, I wanted to protect her from every bad thing in the world. I thought these two were really quite cute together even though they were able to push each others’ buttons a bit too easily. I know it’s fiction, but I think they could use some professional assistance unpacking all their baggage to make this a lasting relationship. In any case, I love all this author’s hockey fiction and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book.
