Alfred Edward Woodley Mason (7 May 1865 Dulwich, London – 22 November 1948 London) was a British writer and politician. He graduated from Oxford in 1888, and in 1895 hosted the first publication of the author. Total wrote more than 30 books, including historical novels, detective stories and his play. In 1906 he was elected to Parliament from the Liberal Party, he was a member of only one term (until 1910). During World War Mason serves as captain of the Manchester Regiment, then Major of the Royal Marines. From his books has been made several films, which later became known worldwide.
"Running Water" is a excellent novel by the British writer A.E.W. Mason. A novel of danger, romance, and adventure as mountain-climbers struggle to rescue a climber who has slipped on an enormous glacier. This is one of the best creations of the author, and so it might be interesting to all readers.
