Tribological Aspects of Physical Mesomechanics
A.M. Pashayev, A.KH. Janahmadov, N.G. Javadov, M.Y. Javadov
In the sliding contact zone the friction surface structure have tribological characteristics that are significantly different from the initial data. The proposed theoretical model for the mechanism of failure as a result of the thermo-mechanical loading in friction validates our assumption on the formation of the surface layers of low density in the pre-surface layer of dislocation and intense cracking. These results are consistent with the experimental data and the radiography of structural changes in the thin surface layers of metal in friction.
The studied model suggests the similarity between processes of the mechanical interaction occurring in the surface layers of material in friction, and the impact interaction. Therefore, based on this model the concept of surface layer formation as result of the thermo-mechanical effect does not contradict the experimental data as for the established normal friction regime as for the critical friction described by grasping.
Experimental Research of Transducer for Measurement of Concentration of Hydrogen in Gas Mixtures
A.A. Safarova
The measurement of hydrogen concentrations in gas mixtures has important significance for many branches of oil-chemical and oil reforming industries. For measurement of concentration of hydrogen and oxygen in different gas mixtures applied different methods and means [1,2]. These methods based on directly transforming of chemical energy in fuel elements to electrical energy [3]
Efficiency of Offshore Gaspiplines
E.Kh. Iskanderov
The author examines the collection and transportation methods of gas-condensate mixtures from the offshore reservoirs and the selection of optimal diameters for the submerging pipelines with the chosen technological specifications. The various transportation parameters of the gas-condensate mixtures are analyzed, such as the distance proximity of reservoir with respect to the changes in ratio of gas and liquid phases, as well as the pipeline pressure. The some ways of increasing the transportation efficiency of the gas condensate through pipeline are provided.
Pricing Asian Options with Monte Carlo Method
E.A. Janahmadov
The paper is the Computational Finance project on pricing Asian options with the Monte Carlo method. The certain discounted payoff formula is given under the risk-neutral density Q. The author reviews the arithmetic sampling payoff formula for fixed and floating strikes; the geometric sampling payoff formula for the fixed and floating strikes.
In both cases the author use the Euler-Maruyama scheme for simulating the underlying stock price using the following set of data: today’s stock price S0=100; strike K=100; time to expiry (T-t)=1 year; volatility s=20%; constant risk-free interest rate r=5% .
As a result following following is produced: outline of the numerical procedure; appropriate tables, comparisons and error graphs; analysis of observations and problems encountered; conclusion and references.
