This book is how Brian has overcome many events in his life.  Sexual abuse, death, suicide, alcohol and drug addiction, homelessness, and many others.  Brian shares his thoughts and insights on what happened, what it was like, and what he learned from those experiences.  This book is dedicated to those who are still suffering and highlights how Brian was able to navigate these experiences.  

Brian D. Toutant is a Philosopher, Artist, Amateur Experimental Physicist, and Author.  In his first book, Salamander and the Firefly, Brian illustrates his adventures in life, the pitfalls, and the successes. Born into a working class family in a small Wisconsin town, Brian started out at the bottom and worked his way into numerous Colleges and Universities.  With a background in Engineering, Architecture, and Physics Brian can view things through different eyes.
