Mourning the death of his wife, John Corwin now needs help pulling himself out of the depths of his darkness. While he is dealing with multiple issues, a new darkness stalks him. This new evil forces John to go deeper into the Mist than he ever intentioned. It also brings him back into contacty with an old girlfriend who just might hold the key to mending his broken heart.
