Saving Quinn

Falling for a human rarely turns out well for the mermaid.

Keala is a happy mermaid living her life in the warm water of Hawaii. She has a human best friend named Ian and every day is the same. Until she saw Quinn Ramos. There’s something different about him and she wants a closer look.

Quinn is in Hawaii on vacation for two weeks. When his vacation is over, he’s being deployed. Determined to enjoy every minute, Quinn goes to the beach very early in the morning. Each day is the same until the day he sees a mermaid.

Keala and Quinn want to meet one another, but Ian isn’t sure that’s a good idea. They don’t know if Quinn can be trusted to keep Keala’s secret. A Hawaiian goddess grants Keala a boon and she and Ian hatch a plan. The plan goes well until Quinn has to leave. He promises to write letters to let them know he’s okay. Then the letters stopped coming.

Quinn comes back from war injured and bitter. He tells Keala he never wants to see her again. Before she leaves him she tells him the truth and just when Quinn begins to believe life is worth living again, Fate intervenes.

The life of the man Keala loves is slipping away and she has no idea how to save Quinn.
