Searching For Zeus

This is the year that Cori Rhodes turns sixteen and, unlike most other girls, she doesn’t want a fancy party, pretty dresses or limousines. Instead, Cori just wants one thing: to find the father that abandoned her as a baby.

For most of her young life, thoughtful, bright and slightly weird Cori has wondered about the mysterious man with whom she shares a last name - made even more mysterious by the fact that her mother refuses to talk about him.

Is he a secret government agent on the run? Perhaps even a half-blooded elven lord who was forced to abandon her so that he could return to his own world? Or maybe he’s a dashing gypsy king, roving far and wide, searching for his long-lost, beloved daughter?

Well, whoever he is, Cori hopes that once he’s found that he’ll save her from the jerks at school, maybe even buy her a car or just simply whisk her away from the small-minded town that she finds herself trapped in.

But not all epic tales end the way we hope and the truths she learns become far more important than any of her mythic-tinged fantasies.

Searching For Zeus is a story about the inevitable journey that we all make when, at last, we say goodbye to our childhoods and embark upon the path that will turn us into adults.

It is a story of love, pain, loss but, more importantly, becoming the person you were always truly meant to be.
