Young love is so all consuming and passionate and after reading the last installment of the Secrets and Surrender series, the reader is left with the confidence that, having survived multiple near tragedies, Nic and Mandi's love will endure. I love stories that feature themes of redemption and it was heart warming to know that Nic's mom redeemed herself and opened her heart to Mandi and her family. Whether or not Mr. Marcelli would ever get there ... well, that is a another story altogether. There were several epic quotes in this story but the following is my absolute favourite and it is from Nic's mom (speaking to her husband), "sealing the deal" on her redemption in my eyes: "You will apologize to the Ruiz family or so help me you'll soon have five inches of Armani stiletto where the sun doesn't shine." Seriously. EPIC!
I thoroughly enjoyed this series and recommend it to anyone who wants a love story with some heat and some drama but most of all, a lovely, sigh-worthy, HEA!
