Francesca da Polenta always dreamed of a handsome husband. When she sees the stunning man awaiting her at the altar, her recent broken betrothal and her best friend's violent marriage fade to the back of her mind. Excitedly, she travels to her husband's home only to find that the man at the altar isn't the one to whom she is married, but his brother Paolo. Her lawful husband is the malformed eldest son of the Malatesta family. But Paolo already holds her heart. Can she escape her marriage and be with the man she loves?
