Shadows of the Past

When Harry Westhouse and his friends went in search of a place lost to history, he never thought that he or his friends might themselves become the ones that would become lost for the rest of time . . .

In pursuit of the Japanese armies retreating from their failed attempt to invade India during June of 1944, Harry’s father sights a place amongst the remote jungle of Burma which should not exist, a place whose very existence is denied by those who live there.

Told of this place as a boy, Harry is determined to discover the truth against his father’s wishes. As chaos reigns along the Indian-Burmese border where there should be peace, Harry seizes the opportunity to embark on what he thinks will be the adventure of a life time, an adventure that could yield rich rewards that no one else even suspects exist.

Yet the jungle is not as remote as they had believed, and the peace is an illusion. Very quickly disturbing occurrences show them they are not alone and they become witness to brutality which means they must not be allowed to live.

Separated and on the run for their lives, their adventure has become a fight for survival, but the worst is yet to come. In a race against time, only Harry’s father can save them, but in a land filled with conflict and a mysterious foe they could never have foreseen, the past and the present will collide to make them pay for what they have found.
