Shane's Coma

Two Saskatchewan prison guards smash Shane Billhill's head onto a concrete floor placing him in a coma. Dr. Randal Reilly, an aging psychotherapist, decides he must travel from British Columbia to India to tell his niece about Shane. Traveling to India is never easy. Navigating language issues and customs has never been Randal's strong suit. Meanwhile, COVID-19 descends rapidly while Dr. Reilly is in India. Complications and conundrums occur. Foreigners need to leave India, but commercial flights out are cancelled. The Reillys find help from an old family friend.

This is a novel about family dynamics, love, reconciliation and the difficulties dealing with the first wave of COVID-19 pandemic.
