A teaching resource for teachers and youth workers to raise awareness and build knowledge and skills to use social media safely with young people aged 11-19 (up to 25 with additional needs). Activities in this mini-pack include a time guide, learning outcomes and worksheets (where required), along with practical, easy-to-use instructions to deliver engaging learning that is meaningful and relevant to online teenagers. Topics include appropriate and inappropriate images to share, the risks of sharing personal information, the effect of using social media on the brain as well as exploring what constitutes online bullying and promoting good ‘netiquette’.
