Meghan Michaels is trying to find balance between being a single mom and working full time as an ICU nurse, when a patient named Caitlin arrives in her ward with a traumatic brain injury. They say she jumped from a bridge and plunged over twenty feet to the train tracks below.
When a witness comes forward with new details about Caitlin’s fall, it calls everything they know into question. Was a crime committed? Did someone actually push Caitlin, and if so, who... and why?
Meghan lets herself get close to Caitlin until she’s deeply entangled in the mystery surrounding her. Only when it’s too late, does she realize that she and her daughter could be the next victims...

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Uncovering how a patient ended up in a coma puts a dedicated ICU nurse at risk in this breakneck thriller. Meghan Michaels’ professional detachment is shattered when she learns that her young coma patient, Caitlin, was not attempting suicide when she fell from a bridge to the train tracks below. Instead, the young woman may have been pushed—and uncovering what really happened puts the recently divorced nurse and her own teenage daughter at risk. Author Mary Kubica excels at weaving several captivating plot threads together, including Meghan’s reunion with a high school friend who’s the victim of domestic abuse, for one exceptionally twisty tale. Throw in the creepy hospital setting, a scary stalker, and the high-speed pacing Kubica has made her trademark, and She’s Not Sorry hits all the marks for a dark and unforgettable can’t-put-down read. This kept us up all night, gasping at each unexpected turn and thrill.

She’s not sorry
I I liked the book very much. It shows that there’s a very fine line between paranoia and reality and even then you’re not quite sure what’s real. I had trouble putting it down.
