Short Stories
This book, short stories, is a collection of stories by H.G. Wells, about 100 pages each in length. It also contains two full-length novels: The Invisible Man and The World Set Free. The best story in the entire book (besides the long novels) by my opinion is The Country Of The Blind, and my review will be focused on that story.
The Country Of The Blind is about a Spanish explorer who, while climbing a mountain, gets lost in a country. He soon finds out that every one of the area's inhabitants is missing eyes; they have empty sockets. After a failed attempt to show off his power of sight to the inhabitants, he -- instead of being thought of as amazing, he is instead called insane. Soon, they start planning to remove his eyeballs. As for the rest of the story it is up to you to read.
Now for a more tangible look at the entire book. As the book contains two full-length stories, it takes up a lot of memory and takes a lot of time to download. However, taking more time doesn't necessarily mean it's not a good book, right?
I would recommend this book to people who like unsolved mysteries and science fiction, and also to anyone into H.G. Wells' books. Anyone from 9 to 136 years of age should like these stories. Plus, it's totally free on the iBookstore!
