Bethany McDaniel is not happy with her parents' plan to move across the country, from suburban Virginia to small town Minnesota.  She is even more upset to discover the house sits across from a creepy cemetery.

But once Bethany meets Bert Foss, a boy her age, they are inseparable.

There is something different about Bert.  No one in town seems to know anything about him or his family.
