I really wanted to like it...
Unfortunately, you can tell it was written by a young author. There were several obvious spelling/grammar errors within the first two pages, the sentences were repetitive, and everything about it seemed cliche. :(
Terribly slow, plot holes, and etc.
The writing it self was good. And the story line was okay in theory. But there were so many holes or paragraphs where I felt things weren't properly explained. It seemed to jump around lots without giving any indication that they were switching scenes. It didn't flow as well as it should have. The first quarter of the book was just painful to read. It was aggravatingly slow with nothing to keep the reader interested. The end was too short and felt like it was rushed. The ending was Im my opinion a last ditch effort to prolong the story when it was already over. The girls already been though enough, your going to put her though another awful storyline? the story didn't need a sequel, except for a few loose ends, it could have just been a stand alone. I felt like the use of pop culture references actually put a time bomb on this book. A good book would have very few so that years from now the reader can still connect with the character on a basic level. I feel as if this book could have just been written better.
