Publisher Description
Once a fearsome vampire warlord, Bazyli Breznik now lives at rock bottom—driving a yellow cab through NYC, sleeping in the trunk, and drowning centuries of guilt in cheap booze. He's a relic of a forgotten past, a self-loathing immortal convinced he's the worst monster to ever walk the earth. But when he interrupts an attempted kidnapping outside a diner, Baz finds himself pulled into something darker than even his bloodstained history: a human trafficking ring hiding in plain sight.
The target? Nika, an undercover cop who's tougher than she looks—and unwilling to stay saved. When she's taken for real, Baz can't stand back. These traffickers remind him too much of the monster he used to be. To save her, he'll have to dig up the beast he buried and try to wield it for good—for once.
Baz isn't a hero. But maybe, just maybe, he can be something close.

I couldn’t put it down
At least until I kept falling asleep in my chair with only ten pages to go! This story is fast paced and the characters are wonderfully flawed. An interesting take on how one becomes immortal and the challenges of loving someone that may or may not outlive you. Do any of us really know how to do that? I’m so glad there are more books in this series. Onto the next one….
Sinners secret
I absolutely loved this book. It had me laughing all throughout the book. I just love the way Baz and Nika were with each other. Baz a vampire, living in his cab’s trunk , so funny. Nika is a cop trying to catch human trafficking , she finds out there’s a rat in her department and has to work with Baz to help stop the ring and find the bad cop in the process. I would recommend this book and all of the other books by Julie. Julie Row’s books are definitely worth the wait to read.
