Nineteen-year-old Emily Tuttle defies her father and travels to Washington, D.C. to join her idol, Alice Paul, in the fight for women’s suffrage. With high hopes, she joins Ms. Paul’s “Silent Sentinels” only to discover that her expectations of easy victory have been naïve.
