Read it

This book made me trust BookTok (not sure if that’s a good thing) but I saw it recommended and decided to buy it. Six of Crows got me into the YA fantasy genre (I haven’t found anything as good as it yet) and it’s honestly one of the best books I’ve ever read. It can be hard to get into but once you’re at the second ‘part’ (which isn’t that far in) it speeds up and becomes more easy to understand. The Shadow and Bone trilogy comes first technically but you don’t have to read it first (I didn’t) because it has nothing to do with the Six of Crows’ characters even though it’s set in the same world. It’s not as good so if you’d rather just read Six of Crows first do it! Anyway, the depth of the characters and the diversity of them was really just what made this Duology. So if you’re wondering what to read and you haven’t read this yet, definitely give it a try!

Not worth reading

I re-read this book a year later, after forgetting everything that happened, and my whole opinion on this book changed. All of the sudden, it was bland, hard to follow and honestly, it didn’t have things worth reading for. I liked some of the characters but the setting was just off. Where were we? I literally rushed the ending because I could not wait to finish it.
Overall, I would not recommend this book I am uninterested in the second.
