So, if little kids and even retarded people can understand Christianity, then, from this info, you shouldn't assume that Christianity is super simple, or super super super simple to understand. It might be that the least of God's people will have to exert a good deal of effort to understand Christianity. But they can do it!
A big big big hurtle you have to clear if you want to understand Christianity is you have to be able to find God's True Church, the Church which Christ founded on a rock, Matthew 16. 13-19.
Now suppose the Roman Catholic Church and only the Roman Catholic Church is God's True Church, suppose only Rome leads people to heaven, suppose every other church in the world leads people to perdition, because every other church in the world is a false church, and false churches lead people to perdition, that's the definition of a false church, whereas if a Church leads people to heaven then that Church is God's True Church. Anyway, suppose Rome and only Rome is the True Church. Then Rome is the supreme government on earth. Rome must be obeyed above all other churches, organizations, kings, queens, Senates, Executive and Judicial branches of government etc. I mean, suppose the USA or any other nation on earth passes a law, and suppose the Roman Catholic Church says that law is evil and must be repealed. Well, if Rome and only Rome is God's True Church, if only Rome leads people to heaven, then it would be pretty stupid to disobey Rome and not repeal that law. You don't attain heaven and escape perdition by rebelling against God's True Church.
I don't think there is anything that we have covered so far which is super super difficult to understand. It's just stuff that a retarded person could understand with some effort and concentration. Yes, Rome might not be God's True Church, Rome might be a false church, but if you suppose that Rome is God's True Church, if you suppose that Rome and only Rome leads people to heaven, then it is pretty easy to understand that you must not rebel against Rome / God's True Church if you want to attain heaven and escape perdition.
And of course if Rome is a false church, if Rome leads people away from heaven and to perdition, then you will want to avoid the Roman Catholic Church, and you will want to look elsewhere than to the Roman Catholic Church when you look for God's True Church.
This is all pretty simple stuff! I mean, finding God's True Church might not be super simple, but if Rome is a false church, if Rome leads people away from heaven and to eternal perdition, then it is simple to understand that you don't want to be a member of the Roman Catholic Church.
Now, how do we determine if Rome is God's True Church or if Rome is a false church? How do we determine if any Church is God's True Church or if it is a false church? These questions and their answers are not the subjects of this book. They are the subjects of other books I have written. This book is about pedagogy, about tactics to use in explaining certain advanced topics to kids, topics which the kids will have to work pretty hard at learning if they are to have any chance at understanding those advanced topics.
Suppose, for instance, one week you tell a kid that Church X leads people to heaven, but then the next week you tell the same kid that Church X leads people to hell but Church Y leads people to heaven, and then the next week you tell the kid that Church Y leads people to hell but Church Z leads people to heaven, well, the kid might get super frustrated and he might begin to despair and might even curse you out, due to his anguish and frustration. So you got to be ready for the outburst and not curse back at the kid! Remember to be the adult in the room, remember James 1. 26...
