Working-class, Roman Catholic and convent school-educated, Madeleine, growing up in the 1960's, comes to view sex as often confusing and sometimes sinister.
Her experiences as a nun, the death of her parents and her involvement with a Women's Rescue force her to find a new meaning for love, sex and spirituality.
Through the maze of memory, 'So Sister' is the story of her journey.
